Ralphey, Everything is geared so doctors get frustrated even if they
understand the differences. Insurance companies only care about going
with the product that will cost them the least amount of money. Then
the FDA behaves as if they are blind to the entire charade. In a logical
medical system the FDA would not allow unproven products onto the market
be they drugs or dietary supplements. Thero seems afraid of retribution
from the FDA so he does not attempt to get them to act on the solution
that would work which is ban those products that have not been proven to
provide a health benefit. Maybe that would change upon a "change of
control." I certainly hope Europe will not have the same headwinds that
Vascepa has encountered in the US. I must say I applaud your efforts
to attempt to well for your patients.
