Knew I liked ya. Great quip about Johnny Walker. Always loved a smart ass. They teach us humility. May your streak continue

Excellent lawyerly reply. I like the Houseman reference. Ever since that film came out I would imagine the anguish every first year would be lawyer goes through waiting for the chance to be possibly shrouded by a tenured, well seasoned prof during law school. Especially lawyers that spent time in some of our country's historic schools with ivy on the walls.

And having Eddie Vetter ringing in your head seems especially suited for Professor Lee and "Jeremy" is the perfect filler to match with a stoic Professor.

How did "Weird Beard" react to the Johnny Red or Johnny Black quip, I would imagine he got even for your comedic comeback. Or perhaps he was a sporting chap and rode it well and played along.

Law school certainly seems to be very family like. I've not been, but have a sibling that went and I've heard plenty of interesting tales, like yours. I think it is probably one of the most outwardly engaging grad school there is, for a variety of reasons. Everyone participates at many levels, at least so I've heard.

Nice post marjac, and many thanks for all the legal advice you provide to the Amarin family!!

You sir, are a gifted writer. That was eloquent, in a casual way.

I, for one, have spent a hefty amount of time nearby in Manhattan federal court. I think the only time I visited your school was to meet Sandra Day O'Connor.

Marjac
A second year option at my university was criminology ... in my day the lecturer used to roll call the students present ... each lecture in criminology began in this way ...but then the lecture theatre would very very quietly begin to empty ... our lecturer was blind ... there were few left at the end of the lecture

I cringe to think now of such appallingly disrespectful behaviour ....
