Yes, releasing the news tomorrow or Wednesday probably would've had a bigger PPS impact in the very short-term. However, it's done with and you can't change it.
Look at the 2/1 PR regarding immutable sites on HIV. Took investors/the market 7 days to digest and we experienced a run from $0.19 to $0.95. Today's news is a lot bigger as it involves similar findings of immutable sites for COVID, confirmation of uplist to OTCQB within the next month or so, positive progress on ITV-1 EMA approval (with fully funded clinical trials, if need be), and patents pending on immutable sites against 14 other major viruses.
I'd give it a week to let it circulate and sink in. I doubt this "one day pop" is all we get here...
EDIT: And yes, today's second PR was the "groundbreaking" one. It was scientific in nature, innovative, centered around COVID, and spelled out a lot of the importance and issuance of patents (all of Chandra's hashtags). There's no PR #3 expected this week.
