Lemmi, it's true produced gas decreased flow

which contributed to the overall decrease in pipeline quality

natural gas used to fire the gas-fired turbines

but that doesn't negate the fact that the

wind turbine electric generated power went to near 0

and there was essentially no or negligible solar powered electricity during this time

So the electric power produced in Texas

during this winter freeze was from

Natural gas, coal, and nuclear

Nothing wrong with solar and wind energy but it totally failed in Texas

during this winter storm

Pressures in NG pipelines dropped because TX grid managers didn't know which circuits provided power to the wells or the vital compressor stations, and they blacked out those circuits, creating a death spiral they couldn't recover from. Sounds like they had no contingency planning in place for such a situation, assuming it would never happen - in my old line of biz, we needed to have backup plans for backup plans, failure trees went down to 3 or 4 levels.
