The problem I see here Elon Musk has validated Bitcoin.

Anything that is purely in cyberspace without much authority in the real world is not secure, in my book.

We have our problems in the real world when money can be touched, seen and bank accounts recorded with involvement of people with their function and authorities known and recorded.

In the Universe any location can be found by reference to some star (Polaris for true North, for example) and there is an agreed and standard way of verification.

In cyberspace, even superpowers are not able to secure and make safe and protect their resources, intelligence, and vital utility grids, financial, and private information, election results, etc. are subject and broken into, and violated... and stolen.

Furthermore, any fake news and disruptive and manipulative attacks come sources hard to discover even after the damages done and the crime is consummated.

Cyberspace is much worse than the wild west was before law and order and leadership was established for legal authority by the consent of the people.

Before handing over our future to any vital resources and needs in order to function as a nation, society in security, just because it's listed on any stock exchange anywhere cyberspace without a its security and insurance for protection is anathema to me.

Just consider how many shady online companies are bilking consumers in the millions already. How about the id thefts?

Or maybe it becomes a scapegoat for valuation drop if bitcoin dumps like in 2018.
