Lot of decent arguments for and against that idea. Kind of points to option two or three.....ya only transmit detectable signals for a short time till ya wiped out or till your AI singularity makes ya go all fiber optic or neutrino.

So true. Another thought for instance, is that some estimates are that 10 million species or more have lived on the Earth. Out of all that only 1 species has become self-aware and only recently developed the technology discussed.
