This is what the researchers said.

“In addition to plaques, lysosomal storage is observed in brains of people who have Alzheimer’s disease. Neurons — fragile cells that do not undergo cell division — are susceptible to lysosomal problems, specifically, lysosomal storage, which we report is a likely cause of Alzheimer’s disease.”

Note the phrase "is a likely cause of Alzheimer's disease."

Not quite the same thing as is being posted and said on the board or by Anavex.

That is not to say that 2-73 won't be useful in this newly described pathway. It does seem that there is a leap to conclusion that has yet to be demonstrated.
