Am I correct in stating that the title of this article is misleading and erroneous? Is Amazon becoming a competitor now?

really weird title. editor has no idea what a fuel cell is!

I believe the Amazon warrants vesting early is a reflection of their commitment to many different things hydrogen/Plug. The original deal would make any Amazon work contracted to Lightning Motors for conversion of class 3-6 trucks to use ProGen engines eligible towards the warrant thresholds. Have you seen how many Amazon Prime trucks are on the highways?

So add in the H2 they would need and it comes clear Amazon has "committed" at least the $400m required for those warrants.

Now if this site is also a giga factory.....

But i think the funny name is typical Amazon - they invented "National Landing" instead of using Pentagon City/Crystal City in Arlington just north of me.

Seems logical. The news reporter said matter of factly that they will be manufacturing hydrogen fuel cells to replace lead acid batteries.
Permit #1 could be any of the large companies previously mentioned, or even South Korea.
