Interesting if you go short and the market rallies and goes against you i thought all you had to due is add money to your margin account to meet the requirements needed. You can keep the short and add money every day if that was the case.'

Correct. No requirement to cover by a certain day. Shorting Risk-Reward sucks already. Having a 3 day window to profit would make it absolutely pointless.
