The purpose of the Technician Scientist Apprentice is to support the batch manufacturing of the company’s commercial products, to support the delivery of Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs) as both ”Specials” and as Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).

About the employer Advent Bioservices began activity as a cell therapy contract development & manufacturing organisation (CDMO) in 2016. The post holder will work closely with GMP Production Scientists, Quality Control staff and Quality Assurance staff to facilitate the efficient delivery of cellular therapy products for clinical use. * Work in aseptic suites to GMP standards, and within microbiological safety cabinets using techniques such as cell culturing, to manufacture cellular therapy products for clinical use * Assist in the labelling, packaging, storage and shipping of cellular therapy products and maintenance of product inventory * Perform QC assays as part of product release, including use of flow cytometry, ELISA and ELISPOT assays, microscopy techniques, SDS electrophoresis * Aid in the preparation of technical reports and other clinical and GMP required documentation including but not limited to batch production records (BPRs) and SOPs. * Plan and undertake validation of new equipment used in GMP manufacture * Undertake daily GMP production housekeeping activities and administration, including but not limited to cleaning, stock control, ordering materials and managing suppliers Apprenticeship standard Technician Scientist Level 5 (Higher national Diploma)
