ramfan60, Should it succeed I wonder who would be able to get approval as
well as distribute Vascepa in South America? Even if Vascepa is proven
to be effective against COVID-19, the supply is limited and would most
likely be available in those nations that already have granted approval
or those that may be in preparation for a launch (such as Germany.)

I have no doubts that Vascepa will be beneficial against COVID. Once this
becomes accepted knowledge...should it become obvious that vaccines are
not the solution they were hoped to be, what then? Will Vascepa ever be
hailed as a miracle drug? One would think it should have been hailed as
such with Reduce-It study results, instead, it was denigrated.

Regardless of what happens Amarin (or its BP owner) must send out and
make clear the message that neither generic versions of Vascepa, or other
Omega-3 products (either prescription or DS) are likely to work as well
as Vascepa and may not provide any benefit.
