From what I observe there are 2 consciousness at work:

1. Group Consciousness which is HODL GME for 1000-2000+ and to bask in the collective energy / camaraderie of the group - never underestimate strong euphoric group camaraderie- I read somewhere that construction workers have one of the highest job satisfaction out of all careers due to the high level of camaraderie - and I posit the theory that danger/action/newness - which are present in this current period of the market just might create augmented neurology and increased serontonin/dopamine etc among a large segment of the wallstreetbets community similar to marines/construction workers/firefighters ie band of brothers (the demographics ie male 20-40 predominate age range etc may also be on point)

2. Individual Consciousness which is do what is optimal for that specific individual investor

From what I have read some will lose everything to feel "one" with Group Consciousness ie take huge positions especially on options - that depending on macro far out of control or not even theorized outcomes can render one millions or wiped out

Those who can separate the two consciousness and trade their (ideally optimal trading systems) efficiently will be the ones that win now and in the future.

Also one must consider augmented neurology - meaning what happens to ones neurology "AFTER" the life changing victory/defeat or levels in between.

From thinking of historical periods the ones who lose everything over time be it dotcom boom/ weed boom/ current boom experienced an augmented neurology that was unable to revert to optimal system AFTER the boom period ended.

There are many layers/levels to how one can play the environment - one can play the system that is playing the system playing the system etc
