I would expect the system to match every IDCC patent family with the final standards in order to determine SEP's. I would further expect it to identify any language within patent that has been addressed in any cases around the world regarding validity challenges. This would help the company determine the risks involved in litigating certain patents without endangering the rest of the patents in the same family. I believe the intelligence being offered should include any publicly known royalty rates to help our licensing team. It should also include units sold by licensed and unlicensed entities using patents of IDCC.
In answering your questions, I stated that I did not know and my opinion is based on what I would expect. I suggest you call the company. I would hope the company is not tossing 10-11 million dollars out the window of WM's car and hoping it will blow back into a net in somewhere in DE.
