Really stumped on this...
My wife and I left our kid's house on Thanksgiving...only to find out that my son-in-law came down with covid that night.
My daughter freaked out and assumed that we would have it too. We tested negative - twice.
Even stranger, my daughter and our two grandkids tested negative too...even though her husband was sick for two days and lost his sense of smell and taste. After two days, his sickness went away but he still didn't get his sense of taste or smell until 3 weeks later.
Fast forward to Christmas...just before my wife and I were going to come down for Christmas, my granddaughter (5 years old) tests positive for covid. (Her only symptoms were a runny nose and a cough...which went away after 2 - 3 days)
Once again, my daughter (the mother) tested negative for covid...even though her daughter just tested positive and her husband just recovered from it.
So, my daughter thinks she must have already had the virus and decided to test for antibodies...which came back negative!
Any thoughts as to how this could happen?
