The trading is very contrived and illogical. It is obvious manipulation on many days. I have many former colleagues who trade for large Wall Street firms. If you speak to them you would soon be convinced that the market in this sector is virtually controlled by algos. There are virtually no real time trading entries made by actual people. And they no longer trade within the existing market. They now largely create the market, to their benefit. It was done on a much smaller scale before the advent of HFT and algos; now it is done on a wholly different scale.
