People don’t like the thought of RS so they sell. Look soon as they said they were thinking of it the price dropped. And continues to drop every morning by at least .50

Yes - at least some of this could be "tax gain selling" - it is common to see on the first couple days of January in stocks that had a big December windfall runup.
