I think Dierdre is using the cap on the award. At a $1 billion settlement, Bentham would net 5x the amount of the loan, at a $2 billion settlement, 10x the amount loaned.

No that isn't a cap.

"On page 38/39 it says something about Bentham being able to potentially recover "as much as 5 times the amount" that was loaned. Could this be the cap?"

Because it states:

"Greater of 5x deployed or 25% of gross (less principal)"

25% of the gross could be a huge amount.
