If you don‘t keep back half of the current available production for the second shot, you are able to vaccinate 100 % more people right now who urgently need the shot as soon as possible. It seems, you are already safe after it and the booster, like with other vaccines, can be given months or even half a year later when you won‘t face the current supply problems.
