That buttresses my point - humans are terrible at future forecasting. Very few if any in the 1940s predicted home computers. But what they DID predict largely proved to be wronGGG.

Nuclear fusion powerplants that would make electricity too cheap to meter. Flying cars. Routine use of rocket backpacks to travel. Personal death ray guns. Et cetera, et al., et seq., ad infinitum, ad nauseum, ergo non sum.

In 1910, I'll bett nobody predicted nuclear weapons. We still can't reliably prevent malaria and many other major diseases.
