From what I've read muscle pain (not in the arm) is a pretty widely reported side effect. And as a doc you should know that it could be referred pain from some other part of your body - my acupuncturist would regularly find me complaining of pain "here" that was actually caused by a problem "there" - and organs can cause referred pain too, know that for fact because I unfortunately have that experience with it - the biggest sources of have been from my pancreas, liver, and kidneys - the acute pancreatitis/gallbladder attack I had back in 2010 or 2011 caused serious pain in two places (each) not related to the location of the organ - felt like someone was jabbing me with an ice pick. My acupuncturist said the pain was related to meridians that run thru the body, showed me drawings of the two related to those organs and sure enough the pain was almost exactly where the meridian passed. That may go against your medical training - meaning you don't believe in meridians - but I totally believe in that stuff - it existed in China a couple thousand years before anything but rudimentary medical knowledge became widespread - people don't practice and hand down techniques for things that don't work.
