I assumed that the other way, 2 amrn for 1 gild. gild at $60.76 right now. Do not see us getting a $120/share buyout. Unless the $150 ask that ihub has had up all weekend is an true indicator.

So what could you see in a buyout from GILD
Bio recently posted 2 gild shares for every 1 amarin, could you see the same???

That would be nice but I don't think so. I think a 1 for 1 is reasonable + CVRs

The long term chart of Gilead Sciences is very interesting. They are in desperate need of a boost. Here is the monthly chart:

They had impressive multi-year bull runs prior to their top in 2015 (A). Since then the PPS has been stagnant(A-C).
in 2017 (B) it tried to rally buy failed, the slump of which traced a bullish MACD diverges (B-C) - setting the stage for another big run at point C. Along comes news of Remdisovir. Huge volume ("big effort") barely lifted prices to resistance of the recent high before failing ("no reward",D). Unlike before, shareholders this time chose to sell into strength on heavy volume, resulting in a very bearish MACD 0 line rejection (E).

Meanwhile the Biotech Index has reached an all time high.

The chart above begs the questions:
1. What's holding the PPS back; why the selloff on good news?
2. What will it take to reverse this course? An Amarin acquisition?

Was Gilead ready to pull the trigger just as Du's judgment crash landed? Have they planned all along to take over Amarin in hopes of building therapeutics to treat multiple conditions, all of which have a common denominator: inflammation? Are they waiting for these supporting trial results(Cardiolink-9,etc.) for renewed justification for their bid?
