the lawsuit was so bogus that Google won $820,000 in damages from MAXD.

Winning these damages is actually rare in civil lawsuits: it's a high bar to prove that the plaintiff never had a reasonable expectation of success.

So ya, this was a scam from many angles.

MAXD didn't even have to pay the lawyers for this lawsuit, they even scammed a foolish law firm to represent them on contingency.

On pacer i see the lawsuit against google n YouTube etc ended jan 2018. If it was a scam it wouldnt of had a lawsuit.
