I'm pretty surprised by this post. I actually thought SPIN and I were having one of the rare substantive discussions here. The real irony is that I don't think it turned away from that until the comments on pants and pissing.
I don't personally know him, but I respect SPIN and while he and I may have differing opinions on some (but definitely not all) topics, I think we have disagreed politely and managed the dialogs between us pretty well.
The problem is, although I think there are many thoughtful folks on this board who hold long-term stock positions and thoughtful and well-considered opinions on the company, except for a few brave souls they are mostly reluctant or disinterested in posting due to a very vocal minority (on both the pro and con side) that has driven the signal to noise ratio here to an intolerable (to me) low.
I'm not an experienced trader by any means. I came here to gain some education and offer what insights I could from where I sit. I hope what I did offer was useful. I certainly did get an education.
