#640532 RE: boarddork #640531

Yeah that's REALLY interesting. Seems to be the new bonds from the offering for refinancing the old debt

(as described in yesterday's PR: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20201202005331/en/Mr.-Cooper-Group-Announces-Pricing-Offering-650)

Everything matches, the 5.125% coupon rate and the maturity date 12/15/2030

But why do they have WAMU in their ticker: WAMU5089913

A google search for this ticker reveals nothing.

The CUSIP is 63861CAD1 according to http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/BondCenter/BondDetail.jsp?ticker=FWAMU5089913&symbol=WAMU5089913

And a google search for this CUSIP 63861CAD1 shows only one page in cache for an ETF that added this ticker, but if you open the page they have removed it again:

https://www.janushenderson.com/en-us/investor/product/jmbs-mortgage-backed-securities-etf/full-holdings/

Really strange why Nationstar issues new bonds having a WAMU ticker...

I mean, the CUSIP is relevant, but WHO assigns the ticker?!?

EDIT:

Probably a plausible explanation:
All WMI debt was assigned WAMUxxxx, and since COOP basically is reorganized WMI, and nobody changed that, all COOP debt gets a ticker WAMUxxxxx assigned?!?

That’s interesting.... trading history only starts 12/1/2020
