no. wash selling is not "real" volume. boiler rooms buy and sell at the same time. they put orders on both sides of the market to give the impression of buying interest. they bid low on the bid to sell on the ask. happened all day here. lots of bids that pushed price higher. and when the shares on the ask were sold, the bids would disappear. it's artificial volume. because it's the same people creating the volume to manipulate the pps and push the stock up.
