Utter rubbish , the pps is totally irrelevant in a buyout situation its simply the fully diluted share count = market cap.

Why does this question keep getting asked... if TLD is positive, the sp will shoot through the roof. Why negotiate at $1.20?

Have you ever played power? If you have pocket rockets (2 aces) in your hand, that equates to $1.20 share price. But if two more aces come out on the flop (positive TLD), then now you have $10 shares.

However, if no aces come out and all you have is a pair (diamond and heart) but a spade flushes is sitting on the table, you now have a share price of $0.05.

Summary: you negotiate early if you aren’t confident in the data or de-risk your investment. Be acquired now for $1B. Or if you’re confident, call “all-in” and wait for the flop and hope you have the opportunity to be acquired for $20B (or shutter the business).

IMHO, the delay points to LP’s confidence and willingness to “all-in” and wait for positive data and a big payout!!! Let’s hope.

Good point. I believe they want to give Merck first dibs at this given Dr. Duffy's work with NWBO earlier as well as the combination trial being run at UCLA. If they both agree to a price that creates a win-win then why stretch it out? I think given how much LP and other execs (and not to mention shareholders) have suffered at the hands of shorts spinning negative commentary, I doubt whether they would want that uncertainty between TLD PR and FDA approval...They probably want to cash out at this stage and I don't fault them! How old are these guys now? Not sure they want to continue for too long! ;)

Trocprofit, what if NWBO was a privately held company with no share price to reference? I don't think share price is relevant at this time but what the potential platform is worth to the buyer. Facebook paid $17B for WhatsApp which had no revenue, only technology and users. Our DCVax platform if successful could expand the indications to multiple cancers and that is what the buyer is evaluating. Obviously the price would be lower now and that's the tradeoff, say 10- 20B vs 30- 50B several years later.
