The MMs and their ilk are experts at manipulating any stock they want...and the best way to cast doubt about AVXL is to sell it down after an anticipated event. But as you wisely pointed out, "that too shall be fixed soon with the PDD data release and the entire picture becoming clear."
It's also very important that the results from the Rett trial are released to reaffirm the results from the PDD study. As I've stated before, the science/medical community absolutely loves it when an experiment (aka: study/trial) can be duplicated with the same results to back it up. It's like a one-two punch that produces a knock-out blow to the doubters.
It becomes pretty hard to dispute once a trial has been duplicated with the same results.
Once that happens, I expect some major buying from money managers, funds, tutes, etc...which should catapult our share price to the next level.
