No concerns on my end. Im actually very glad both these companies have come up with a vaccine, but this does little to impact our company.
These vaccines will curb the pandemic but COVID is not going to get eradicated. There are already several strains of the virus and more will mutate/evolve.
I.e. the Modena vaccine is only 94.5% effective which means that the it is ineffective against 5.5% of the virus. This is likely due to a different strain, and that strain now becomes dominant and the problem until they come up with another vaccine, and the cycle repeats itself. Think of the seasonal Flu, we develop vaccines for it every year but next year its a different strain of the flu...
Also, I personally like vaccines but many see it as a moral dilemma and will not take the vaccine. The anti-vaxxers will prefer mAbs for multiple reasons.
