I doubt it’s a simplistic zero sum game. The company definitely has the responsibility to file on time and any assertions they made absolving themselves of responsibility was ill-advised and a rookie move. The buck stops with internal leadership. That doesn’t mean there weren’t issues with previous accounting contractors though. What matters to me is the company takes ownership moving forward. If these fins are late, what will disappoint me more than anything would be finger pointing by management about how it’s the fault of someone or something external.
