I agree with Timings take, except I think it was Charles buying up hundreds of millions or more shares during that insane few volume days JUST before we learned about the potential Merger. I think it was a nice “takeover” and strategical in that he knew it would be the fastest and easiest way for him to get to market AND pick up ITV1 at the same time.
Just my guess, but smart of Charles if so... Harry told me once on the phone that he really hadn’t known Charles for very long... planned or not, we’ve got a Rare Once in a Lifetime here...
