Maybe. If I sell I will continue to monitor the stock, but I won't be in a rush to get back in.
Around the first of November I generate that list of stocks I hold that are candidates for tax selling by virtue of being well off their 52 week highs. While some bounce in Nov and Dec, 9 out of 10 not only don't bounce but drop further.
I generally do some pretty aggressive selling in early November. Capture the losses before further drops and raise some cash for year-end bargain hunting.
