You do know they are “preliminary slides,” right?

I've known of partnerships where discussions were ongoing for over a year under confidentiality, and frankly it was well maintained. When it did finally occur the partner was who we were guessing at, but no one knew the timing. Confidentiality is taken seriously, and I believe would be in the case of materials that will be used in presentations as well.

That's not to say that some friend of someone that sees the presentation might not profit, but if someone in the family did, I suspect someone could lose their job.

I believe with coverage in places like Motley Fool, Seeking Alpha, etc. the word is getting out as to our potential. TLD will make a big difference in confirming what we believe we already know.

We very well may have potential partners that also have access to all the data under confidentiality agreements. Clearly people believe Merck has the inside track, and they're probably right, but that doesn't mean that others may not be looking at the data, and speaking with the company, as well. Frankly this looks very similar to the sort of company that Roche takes an interest in, and eventually may buy out. In the case of Genentech, Roche has partnered, acquired, spun off, and acquired again. Genentech is still operating somewhat independently, and at any time Roche could spin it off again, while maintaining sufficient ownership percentages to be able to re-acquire it without difficulty. The good news is that shareholders in Genentech generally did well with all this maneuvering by Roche.
