with custodianships the past doesn't help to decipher the future imo. researching the individual custodian can help a little. imo if you know the steps the custodian has to take you can trade off of them.
they usually pop it's just the magnitude that is hard to judge. i take solace in the fact that the share structure will not change and the custodian is under the watchful eye of the court. imo custodianships are a waiting game that can pay well to very well.
what is the incoming company? more importantly, what is its value? if there is a large discrepancy between the market cap of the shell and the value of the new owner the shell pps has to rise to the value of the merging company and a rally is born.
