ranger, I know, but something has got to give pretty soon. Now that NOK has requested a hearing the Judge will have to rule on IDCC's motions. Keep in mind that January 15th deadline for NOK to amend its claims and reinstate the invalidity/non-infringement claims that were dismissed because there was a license in place between the parties. IDCC even states in their reply that it is "telling" that NOK has not yet amended its claims even though it is free to do so at any time. NOK wants to know where the judge stands on the summary judgement motion and the stay because if they have to pull the trigger and amend the claims then they will have to do so quickly. IDCC can then counter-sue for infringement and take further actions, I believe. So we could see some real fireworks in the next couple of weeks. Or maybe even a settlement.
