BTW, I live on 5 acres out here on the West Coast. Had to help out a few baby sparrow hawks that fell out of their nests - or perhaps the mother pushed them out because it was their time? All I know is that they were on the ground for about two weeks learning how to fly. (Pretty cool watching them mature)

Same thing happened with a baby owl. That raptor scared my dog because it was much bigger than any other bird he had ever seen up close. It took about two weeks to mature as well.

I grew up in this same area so I'm used to being up close to nature.

Unfortunately we are now overrun with wild donkeys. Some bleeding-heart created a sanctuary and those friggin things have multiplied like giant rats. This in turn has caused the quail to disappear. Haven't seen them in over 5 years!

Anyway, thanks for sharing your background and love for falcons. I too admire falcons.
