I can say for sure that MMs are going to great pains to fill around my bids, suggesting they don't want retails accumulating shares at low prices.
This sort of behavior quite reliably predicts future behavior. Similar to how sometimes they won't let paint jobs at the ask fill above the bid if they want to make the price appear artificially low to reduce attention.
