WHY did that need to happen, many wonder? Banks nor venture capitalists not convinced to loan money?
ANY penny company that resorts to toxic funding sets a negative precedential STIGMA that is very difficult to remove from the minds of previous STUCK shareholders, let alone newcomers.
Their actionary response like many? Short term flipping at best instead of holding. Essentially a curse for sustained share price appreciation.
