8 months ago, just 232 hectares were registered for outdoor growing, now doubled to 487 hectares (as of July 2020).

Understand how much can be produced...

1,203 acres (487 hectares) produces over 1,000,000kg of cannabis at a yields as low as 1,000kg/acre.
- 1,000,000kg is 1,000,000,000 (1B) grams or 25 grams for all 40,000,000 Canadians
- 1,000,000kg is 4,000,000,000 (4B) smoking joints (at 0.25g/joint) or 100 joints for all 40,000,000 Canadians.

But...
the current registered 1,203 acres in Canada is low! To drastically increase globally.
Expect commoditization of THC as an ingredient to then really take off - extracts, etc

In October, 35 companies were granted licenses for cannabis cultivation.
