Final EIS: No measurable impact on fish or fisheries•Based on the Pebble Project design submitted for permitting, and considering all relevant environmental safeguards and mitigations, the USACE found that “ impacts to Bristol Bay salmon are not expected to be measurable.

•The Final EIS concludes:

•within the Bristol Bay region as a whole (40,000 sq. miles)“The mine site area is not connected to the To g i a k, Ugashik, Naknek, and Egeg ikwatersheds and is not expected to affect fish populations or harvests from these watersheds.”

•Within the large regional watersheds that will host project facilities (~23,000 sq. miles)“(The project) would not have measurable effects on the number of adult salmon returning to the Kvichakand Nushagakriver systems.”

•Within the project footprint area (~10 sq. miles)“...impacts to anadromous and resident fish populations from these direct habitat losses would not be measurable, and would be expected to fall within the range of natural variability.”Bristol BayKvichakNushagak-Mulchatna
