let's go OTC in the US. use the sales force to market to pharmacies and pharmacists instead of marketing to Rx prescribers.

collapse the Rx/generic Rx market entirely.
capture as much as of US fishoil market as possible.

leave the generic Rx API purveyors to try to get generic Rxs written by prescribers (and covered by 3rd party payors) while a consumer can walk
into a pharmacy, grocery, etc and buy vascepa off the shelf.

of course, this model trades off lower product cost for higher sales volume.
