The answer: no, each generics has to file an individual application for approval but they could not rely on the data submitted by Amarin for Vascepa till the 8th anniversary and cannot be placed on the market, even if the generic product has already received a marketing authorisation till the 10th anniversary of the approval of Vascepa.
