The pr mentioned submitting ind early september so mid October could be realistic if ind is approved and cdmo and cro are up and running full speed. Lots of moving parts. Better to be realistic than emotional at this point. Its going to be an exciting 2 weeks imho

IPIX only needs to have an IND accepted by FDA in order for brilicidan to be classified as an approved medical countermeasure under the current declaration of national emergency. The executive order supercedes the Food and Drug act during a pandemic. In addition the gov can and will pay to stock pile an approved medical countermeasure and there is zero liability for any company with an approved medical countermeasure either vaccine or therapy. There is a gov fund to pay any injuries due to taking a medical countermeasure under the declaration of a medical national emergency. All discussions of the normal phase progression of drug approval for B-covid is counterproductive to what will actually happen if brilicidan is determined to be an effective countermeasure.
