#293538 RE: Jasbg #293528

jasbg, A very long time ago I ran across a post that discussed how the
worse case scenario for a drug development company is when the results
are excellent, the drug is safe and and effective, and then the company
decides to market the drug themselves with disastrous results...

Good drugs are simply "laid to waste" in such situations. On the other
side of the spectrum are dietary supplements that intentionally
masquerade as legitimate OTC medications...for example the heavily
advertised Omega XL that has Larry King doing a 30 minute infomercial
on...usually on CBS before "60 Minutes" and then there is "Prevagen"
for good brain health and memory issues...absolutely a rip-off scam
product, but advertising is powerful and people buy the stuff.

Imagine how well Vascepa would be known if Johnson & Johnson were
promoting Vascepa. Or if Pfizer owned it. Dr. Gottlieb is on
CNBC every day talking about COVID-19 and drug commentary. He is
a former FDA commissioner as well as on Pfizer's BOD. Do you think
he will ever bring up Vascepa or AMRN? I bet he would if Pfizer
owned it. Vascepa must be in the hands of BP to optimize sales.
GIA is a "Fool's Errand."
