Probably the first two, coupled with jealousy that young people are on the moving train that stayed at the station that was being built for many years. He probably once had huge expectations and told everyone about lqmt, only to wait for years and lose much of his remaining time on earth and all faith in the company. Now that the train is moving and he is too old to reap the benefits over time as he once expected, jealousy at those who don't need to wait with those same expectations are causing him to lash out.
