Tampa.......Confused?

First i think your confusing TPM's with FINREAD,
IBM's been deploying TPM's for over two years.
HP & IBM are Already offering their Own TPM software
which includes File encryption similar to Wave's
Document Manager. If you download the TCG Catalog
you can see exactly who offers what today.....

tampa: Agreed...

There are many valid points in your thoughts. Like you I have followed this company for a long time and am essentially more convinced than ever that "Things are good!".

Having said that I also have realized that the revenue model and Wave's "raison d'être" isn't all that clear anymore...

We will have revenue from bundling basic services (50 cents to $1) per unit, we'll have revenues for premium services ($30 - $40 per year), we'll have revenue from licensing and/or sales of trust servers ($ ????) ... how are we compensated for the key management services? Nobody from the company has yet addressed that subject.

I believe that I have a fairly good understanding of the technology. The TAN/applet model was quite transparent...but today's model is, in my mind, not as clear as it really should be after following this company for such a long time...

Maybe it's time for management to "come clear(er)" and make sure Wavoids understand. Because if Wavoids only see a fuzzy model how do you think The Street understands?

That's really good to hear. If IBM, HP or some other company responded to your inquiry, then I would be seriously worried about how much of a technology advantage Wave has. The one aspect I really liked about this investment was the "first-to-market" claim SS kept touting at the CCs. However, I had second thoughts about the significance of this advantage when I saw all of the other companies working on Trusted Computing, i.e. Microsoft. They have to rollout this product package to the market asap in a big way if they are going to eventually see the fruits of years of their labor. Time is working against them now... they can't let the competition which has nearly uncapped resources to develop a product like this in a quarter of the time or less and have an offering that competes on the same level and with the added benefit of name brand recognition. That's the reality I see. That's why we need news soon. Marketing is key here to build themselves a name and awareness.

tampa, I wasn't going to say anything, but just so you know, others (at least one) has doubts as to what and how much the IBM and HP ISV deals mean to us: little or nothing except for our morale. This could change if we see GM or GE announce using our ETS and an announcement from Ingram Micro or a large systen integrator/VAR to prep corporate PC's with our stuff.

Wave is a very small, weak company running out of time and does not have the resources or time to sell consumers or companies our stuff. Part of what we have is available free for those who got it not even knowing they want or need it.

The HP quote below is too funny, gallows style. Wagner basically said he was told to make a statement he didn't believe in and he thought the stuff his group came up with was more than enough.

"HP ProtectTools Embedded Security complements an already broad range of security technologies from HP including Smart Card readers, the HP ProtectTools Smart Card Security Manager and a host of standard security features built into HP business desktop and notebook PCs," said Matthew Wagner, HP's business notebook security manager. "Now with the availability of Wave's EMBASSY Trust Suite client software, users have even more security choices for select HP business desktop and notebook products."

The Intel deal is much better as we get unconditional revenue per MB. IBM and HP is revenue on the if come which IMO which is going to be unlikely. If one real PC OEM puts our ETS in the box maybe others will follow and we will be in business for real. I still have 84,000 reasons to hope this happens.
