Trying to time the market for large purchases by holding dry powder is very difficult even for professionals using Bloomberg Terminals and instantaneous Goldman Saks data feeds. A proven method is to spread the buys or sells over time thereby getting a good average price if one is an investor not a trader. Some increase those buys more when price is lower and scale back when higher...buying dips or a some on each "short attack" but not all so can buy more on next dip.
The market can be unpredictable that's why since everyone seems to think CYDY will dip further next week I think it will start a sustained run up on no news whatsoever or even with more short thesis yellow journalism.
