True that, I just ran it through my tax software
and I misquoted the percentage variance, it's
more like 49% more for short term cap gains tax.

Datz what happens when I stay up for 25 hours...lol

It's still a decent incentive to hold over a year.

Plus like you, I have a nice chunk in that category.

I've been working a lot to take a year or 2 off my
retirement so that's the major reason for the extra
taxes. Working to have the wifey retire at the same
time as well.
