His statement about DCVax-L in that video posted yesterday did not come across to me as absolute and left a little wiggle room - which, in fact, is the reality.

WHAT WIGGLE ROOM??? HE SAID THE DCVAX-L Phase-3 trial failed.
John Boockvar Loses all credibility when he alleges the DCVAX-L trial failed but his prop, the chart he is displaying (below) does not support that it failed. First he shows the title page of the DCVAX still blinded data paper on the right his summary bullets on the left state:
* Autologous Tumor Lysate-Pulsed Dendritic Cell Vaccine (DCvax-L)
* Phase-3 Trial
* After standard Chemo/Rads, Temodar +/- DCVax-L. At Recurrence, all patients allowed DCVax-l.
* MGMT+ Patients = mOS 34.7 months. Subset of "extended survivors" (n=100) mOS 40.5 months.
* Addition of DCVax-L feasible, may extend survival.

This chart does not support the allegation in anyway that the trial has failed. I guess he did not expect anyone to actually read the text - incredulous ? ? ?
I watched the entire video and the second half of it is trying to convince the audience that what they are doing is a better potential treatment . . . he also complains it is extremely difficult to get investors because these research studies/trials are so expensive. GBM SOC is mOS 12-15 but with his 14 patients seeing some patients OS is 3.2 years ~38 months) and his chart show mOS for DCVAX on the blinded data is 34.7 months for MGMT+ and 40.5 months for "extended survivors"

So he likes Avastin for GBM and enjoys being on TV a lot. Apparently that’s a winning hand in your world. Alrighty then.

Ah, so you’re saying he is old school, loves a scalpel and old line drugs that don’t do much but accentuate his importance as “The Surgeon”.

OK. Good info with which to evaluate his poor judgment and unwillingness to adapt to the times, just my humble opinion. So he has a Pre-existing bias now as well as conflicts. Always interesting to know.
