In my pre-encyclopedia, post-BizTV addled state, I neglected to inquire about the possibility of bookshelves, to my immense chagrin. However, I should grant myself some small measure of leniency, as the opportunity for such an inquiry was exceedingly minute. Once we had agreed on and settled the terms for the encyclopedias, the itinerant salesman gathered his samples and headed for the door with great alacrity, thanking me profusely for my purchase and announcing over his shoulder that he had decided to take the rest of the week off.
