Only Institutional Investors And Analysts Ask Questions On Earnings Calls. Most companies have thousands of shareholders so including shareholders isn't feasible and it would be chaotic.

“Do any sp500 companies play these kind of tactics? It seems sketchy that they only allow AGP and maybe 1 public investor to talk and no one else.“

Well no, because they have more than two looking at the stock, and they are real independent analysts. And given how far off their “projections” have been they should probably sit this one out. Lol.

Yes, earnings calls with NASDAQ companies are done this way. Usually any of the company's institutional investors are invited to participate as well and they are not always kind. If institutional investors are unhappy they can be very tough on the CEO/CFO in these calls. Retail shareholders are only invited to listen in.

Only analysts that cover the stock on Nasdaq are allowed to schedule questions with the IR company.

No retail investors can call in and ask questions.

They are always in “listen mode”.

You find that all public companies work that way.

Thanks.

It seems like you are a little naive regarding what you think individual retail investors might expect on conference calls.

They are not going to take calls from retail shareholders, many of whom are crackpots.

Lots of lawyers will tell you - don't ask a question if you are not prepared to deal with any possible answer. If you are a public company - why invite open questions that would be really awkward to answer?

I think you have a better chance of getting an answer through email etc. to IR offline from the conferences call.

Is this real? An open/live Q&A with a Nasdaq CEO during an earnings call? Have you read any public forums?? Most people couldn’t articulate a meaningful question and honestly, let’s not waste time giving crazies an opportunity to embarrass the rest of us that are trying to actually get information out of the call.

Kurt Heidolph asking questions to embarrass Rory during the conference call. Give all the FIRED employee's a platform to ask RORY questions....hahahaha
